The International Women Trade Expo (IWTE), launched by the Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) in 2016, continues to address the evolving challenges faced by women entrepreneurs today. Focusing on critical issues like market access, product development, business exposure, and knowledge sharing, IWTE has become an annual flagship event, with each year dedicated to a unique theme that promotes the empowerment and visibility of women in business.

The expo’s slogan, ‘Work Together, Win Together,’ emphasizes the power of collective efforts from both the local and global communities. As always, the event serves as a dynamic platform to unite Nepali and international businesswomen, offering opportunities for product sales, networking, business collaboration, and knowledge exchange. It encourages productive engagements with key stakeholders, including government bodies, and fosters connections that go beyond geographical boundaries.

Over the years, IWTE has solidified its role as a pivotal event, connecting women entrepreneurs with potential buyers, investors, and global partners. The expo showcases diverse products while offering valuable insights into market trends and business strategies through symposiums, B2B meetings, workshops, and pre-event activities. Following the pandemic, FWEAN’s successful virtual expo in 2021 demonstrated the resilience and adaptability of women-led businesses in Nepal.

More than just a trade event, IWTE has grown into a symbol of empowerment, innovation, and collaboration. Now in its eighth year, it continues to inspire change in the entrepreneurial landscape. The 7th edition of IWTE, held from March 29 to April 2, 2024, at Heritage Garden, Sanepa, drew thousands of visitors and exhibitors, showcasing the ingenuity and strength of women entrepreneurs.
