IWD

July 08, 2021

The International Women’s Day (IWD) is marked on 8th March each year in many countries around the world to recognize and celebrate women’s achievements, irrespective of national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political differences or divisions and at the same time advocate for women’s rights and equality. Worldwide different events are hosted by government, NGO, charity, corporation, academic institution, women’s network, or media on this day.

Each year, FWEAN also celebrates IWD on behalf of women entrepreneurs, showing solidarity to women nationally and globally in their effort to create an inclusive and equitable society for all. The IWD has been celebrated by FWEAN by being part of rallies organized by the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens, by organizing women’s gathering, workshops, panel discussion, sharing and interaction events. FWEAN also brings out its annual publication “Enterprising Women” on this occasion.
