November 14, 2024, marks a significant milestone for the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) as they sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with key partners in the Asia-Pacific Regional Network of Businesswomen’s Organizations (RNBWO). This momentous occasion highlights FWEAN’s commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs across the region and solidifies its role as a proud founding member of this vital network.

The MoU was signed by FWEAN President Ms. Shova Gyawali, along with Ms. Selima Ahmad, President of the Bangladesh Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI), and Ms. Tusitha Kumarakulasingham, Board Member of the Women’s Chamber of Industry & Commerce Sri Lanka (WCIC). The signing took place in the presence of esteemed representatives from the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), underscoring the collaborative effort to enhance women’s economic empowerment in the Asia-Pacific region.

As part of this agreement, FWEAN will serve as Vice Chair for three consecutive years, leading initiatives that support women entrepreneurs and contribute to their economic resilience. This historic achievement is celebrated during the “POWER in HER” conference, organized by CIPE, CWEE, and CIPE Asia Regional Office in Manila, Philippines, from November 14-16, 2024.

This partnership aims to improve livelihoods and foster national prosperity through the economic empowerment of women. FWEAN is excited to embark on this journey alongside other influential organizations dedicated to advancing women’s rights and opportunities in business.
