WHO WE ARE?

The Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) is the apex organization promoting women entrepreneurs in Nepal, dedicated to advancing women’s economic empowerment and entrepreneurship development across the country. With its strong presence in all 77 districts of Nepal—including WEAN Chapters in 76 districts and the FWEAN in Kathmandu, FWEAN also has Provincial Committees in all 7 provinces, FWEAN has built a powerful nationwide network of women-led enterprises.
With over 5,500 women entrepreneurs, FWEAN works to strengthen women’s participation in business, enhance entrepreneurial skills, and advocate for gender-inclusive economic policies. Through a wide range of impactful programs—including international trade expos, capacity-building workshops, business development centers, and market linkage initiatives—FWEAN supports the growth and sustainability of women-owned businesses in Nepal.
As a leading women entrepreneurship organization in Nepal, FWEAN fosters collaboration between entrepreneurs, development partners, and the private sector. Its initiatives aim to address key challenges faced by women in business—such as limited market access, financial literacy, and digital inclusion—while creating new opportunities for innovation and leadership.
By empowering women to become self-reliant and competitive in both local and global markets, FWEAN continues to drive Nepal’s economic progress, promote gender equality, and inspire the next generation of female entrepreneurs.
