ABOUT FWEAN: 

Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) established in 2003 is a not-for-profit organization representing the collective efforts of women entrepreneurs in the economic progress of the nation and decision-making at national and international levels. With the vision to build the nation through socio-economic empowerment of Nepali women, FWEAN promotes women entrepreneurship through advocacy, capacity enhancement, business support and networking nationally and internationally.  

As an apex body of Women Entrepreneurs’ Association of Nepal (WEAN), FWEAN currently has 61 subsidiaries WEAN Chapters and aims to gradually expand to all 77 districts in 7 provinces of Nepal. JOB SCOPE: 

FWEAN is seeking a highly motivated Chapter & Membership Intern. The Chapter & Membership Intern is responsible for providing support and assistance to the Chapter and Membership Committees. They will work closely with the chapter and membership team to help coordinate and implement various initiatives and programs aimed at engaging and supporting members. The intern will gain valuable experience in chapter management, membership recruitment, and event coordination. 

JOB SPECIFICATION: 

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, communications, marketing, or nonprofit management). 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with database management. 
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms and their use for organizational purposes. 
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. 
  • Demonstrated interest in membership organizations, chapters, or associations is preferred. 
  • Must be available full time

  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assist in maintaining regular communication with chapter leaders and members. 
  • Provide administrative support for chapter activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking meeting minutes. 
  • Help facilitate chapter events, workshops, and conferences by coordinating logistics, materials, and registrations. 
  • Collaborate with the membership team to implement strategies for member acquisition and retention. 
  • Support membership recruitment efforts by assisting with outreach campaigns, follow-ups, and data entry. 
  • Assist in conducting research on industry trends, best practices, and competitor analysis to support chapter and membership growth strategies. 
  • Help monitor and respond to inquiries from members and chapter leaders via email, phone, or online platforms. 
  • Help maintain accurate records and reports related to chapter and membership activities.
