About FWEAN:

The Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN), established in 2003, is a not-for-profit organization representing the collective efforts of women entrepreneurs in the economic progress of the nation and decision-making at national and international levels. With a vision to build the nation through the socio-economic empowerment of Nepali women, FWEAN promotes women entrepreneurship through advocacy, capacity enhancement, business support, and networking nationally and internationally.

As an apex body of Women Entrepreneurs’ Association of Nepal (WEAN), FWEAN presence expands across all the 77 districts of Nepal with 76 WEAN Chapters, 7 Provincial Committees and FWEAN in Kathmandu. The core values that FWEAN promotes are Accountability, Ambition, Collaboration, and Creativity. With a mission to inspire and empower women entrepreneurs and their businesses, FWEAN focuses on four key objectives:

  • Advocate on issues related to women’s economic empowerment
  • Enhance the capacity of women entrepreneurs
  • Support businesses of women entrepreneurs
  • Increase outreach of FWEAN

Roles and Responsibilities:

This is a full-time on-site intern role located in Kathmandu. The Intern will be responsible for providing support to FWEAN’s 9th International Women’s Trade Expo.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in organizing events and workshops related to the expo
  • Assisting in developing engaging contents for the promotion of the expo
  • Creating reports and assisting with social media management
  • Assist in content collection, management and development of the publications and promotional materials.
  • Content writing and other administrative tasks

Qualifications:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficient in Canva and other design software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of social media management and content creation is a plus
  • Experience in event planning, workshop coordination, or research/report writing is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field
