The “Digitalization and GESI Awareness for Women-led Businesses” project, implemented by the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) in partnership with the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), aims to enhance the digital capabilities and gender equality awareness among women entrepreneurs in Surkhet, Jumla, Rautahat, and Sarlahi districts. Launched on May 24, 2023, and running until September 6, 2024, the project focuses on strengthening women’s abilities to digitize their businesses while promoting Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) topics.
The key activities included bespoke training sessions on digital financial literacy and digital marketing tools, GESI in business, and GBVH reporting. The project also involved conducting baseline and endline surveys to assess the impact of these trainings. Initial findings revealed significant gaps in digital literacy and financial knowledge among participants, highlighting the need for targeted training. The project has successfully engaged local women entrepreneurs, providing them with essential skills to improve their business practices and increase their market reach. Through this initiative, FWEAN is committed to empowering women entrepreneurs and fostering sustainable economic growth in the region. also add the number of lives impacted
